Yellow Rose Comedy Festival is Houston's first all-female comedy festival. It will be held at Warehouse Live May 12th and 13th, 2017. Join us as we celebrate the amazing female comedians who continue to make us laugh!

Sara Schaefer
Sara is a critically acclaimed stand up comedian, writer, and producer currently based in Los Angeles. She was the co-host of MTV’s late night show Nikki & Sara Live. Sara has appeared on @Midnight, John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Best Week Ever, and Inside Amy Schumer. She won two Emmy awards for her work at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and has written for Not Safe with Nikki Glaser and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. Her new digital series Woman Online debuted on Seriously.TV in February 2017. She currently writes for Comedy Central’s Problematic with Moshe Kasher premiering in April 2017.

This Texas native made her late night debut on Conan and was featured in AXS TV presents: Gotham Comedy Live. She’s performed stand up in festivals such as Bridgetown Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, FunFunFun Fest, Moontower Comedy & Oddity Festival, SXSW, and the All Jane Comedy Festival. She’s opened for Hannibal Burress, Paul Rodriguez, Gladys Knight, and Earth, Wind and Fire.
She’s had her name featured in the Huffington Post, Variety, LaughSpin, the New York Times, Splitsider, who named her among the 2015 top up-and-coming comics, and the Austin American Statesman, who named her as one of 2015’s People to Watch.
