Ludo is an alternative rock band which formed in 2003 in St. Louis, Missouri.  Andrew Volpe (vocals, guitar), Tim Ferrell (guitar, vocals), Tim Convy (synths) and Matt Palermo (drums).  Bassist Marshall Fanciullo "left" *coughwaskickedoutoverthephonecough* the band in 2008 and the band is currently touring with Tommy Cantillon of Tommy and The High Pilots until a permanent replacement can be found.  Volpe and Farrel formed the band as a two piece and found the rest of the band through internet ads after moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma.  The band has released three albums, 2004's "Ludo", 2006's "Broken Bride" and 2008's "You're Awful, I Love You".  The latter is the band's first for Island Records and features the singles "Love Me Dead" and "Go-Getter Greg", both of which were major hits on American alternative rock radio during 2008.

Before LUDO became a household name by selling over 100,000 copies of their Island Records debut album, You’re Awful, I Love You, the band had built a strong following in the Midwest by peddling their self-released records out of the back of their van. Blowing through thousands of these albums, Ludo thought they would never see the light of day again… until today. Ludo is proud to announce that the band’s out-of-print 2003 self-titled debut and 2005 rock opera follow-up, Broken Bride, will be available again on September 29th via the band’s own label, Redbird Records & Touring.

“Our fan base has grown quite a bit in the last year,” says Ludo’s Tim Convy (Moog synthesizer, keyboards, vocals). “As a result, we have plenty of new fans who are only familiar with You're Awful, I Love You. We wanted to put out our first two albums to a wider audience, to sort of bring them up to speed before we release our new album next year.”

Ludo’s self-titled album gives fans a glimpse into their humble beginnings, where the four-piece began to hone their quirky sensibilities and ability to write peppy and infectious rock hooks. Before Ludo recorded the breakthrough single “Love Me Dead,” which was a Top 10 Modern Rock single, and “Go-Getter Greg” (both off You’re Awful…), the group had sold over 10,000 copies of their self-released, self-titled disc. With songs like “Hum Along” and “Good Will Hunting By Myself” it’s easy to see why their fan base became so rabid and demanded more Ludo! The re-issue includes a slew of bonus material, including the never-before released track "Elektra's Complex," a fast-paced tongue-in-cheek tune that's been a live favorite for years and a never-released 10-song bonus disc recorded live at Ludo's first birthday show at the legendary Mississippi Nights in St. Louis in 2004.

The group delivered the Broken Bride EP a year later, which is an epic love story that spans time and space. The album tells the tale of a man’s desperate attempt to save his wife who dies in a car crash by traveling back in time, but his travel goes awry and… well, can’t give too much away. The EP shows a growth in the band’s songwriting abilities and quickly became a fan favorite, boasting huge choruses and a “timeless” plotline. In 2006, the University Theater group at the University of Chicago even adapted the rock opera for a staged performance and the University of Nevada - Las Vegas performed a Bride medley at a UNLV football game.

Ludo is currently writing their major label follow-up to You’re Awful, I Love You and plan to hit the studio once again with Matt Wallace (Maroon 5, Faith No More, Train). In support of the albums (which will be available in retail outlets nationwide), Ludo has recently announced The Broken Bride Tour, and will be performing songs from all three releases including Broken Bride in its entirety.

Two brothers from Cleveland move to Denver to start a band. joined by their close friends Ben Haley and Mike Ayars, Patrick and Nathan Meese create a musical act of the same name: MEESE. together they write heart felt songs. songs that are carried by keyboards and guitars. songs that are garnished with electronic beats and tones. melodies that can hook any listener and instrumentation that is different and unique. so the buzz begins. in time they are voted best pop band in their hometown of Denver. they begin selling out theaters. their infectious single 'the start of it' begins to snowball. they begin headlining their own tours, as well as touring with acts like the fray, sparta, and straylight run. they sign to atlantic records in the fall of 2007. this is the start of it. taken from meese's myspace
